Emi Buchwald (1991) is a director and screenwriter. She graduated in directing from the Film School in Łódź and completed the documentary course at the Andrzej Wajda Film School. She is the author of several short fiction and documentary films including Nauka (2016), Heimat (2017), Piękna Łąka Kwietna (2022) and Echo (2023), which have been screened and awarded at numerous film festivals. Her feature length fiction debut NIE MA DUCHÓW W MIESZKANIU NA DOBREJ premiered at the 50th Gdynia Polish Film Festival.
Niklas Engstrøm is the Artistic Director of CPH:DOX and the organisation Copenhagen Film Festivals which also arranges the children’s film festival BUSTER. Born 1979, he holds degrees in Political Science and Film Studies, both from University of Copenhagen. Having programmed the festival since its first edition in 2003, he was appointed Head of Programme in 2015, and in the spring of 2021, following the departure of long-time festival director Tine Fischer, he was appointed Artistic Director.
Filmmaker with more than ten documentaries to his credit. In 2007, he earned a degree in Journalism from the Belarusian State University, and two years later graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. His works have received numerous international awards, including the IDFA Award for Best Medium-Length Documentary for Summa (2018) and the Silver Hobby-Horse for Best Documentary in the National Competition at the Krakow Film Festival (2019). When Flowers Are Not Silent (2021) won the Best Feature Documentary Award at the Warsaw Film Festival.
In 2021, Andrei was forced to leave Belarus, and since then, he has been living and working in Poland.
Worked with documentary films for more than 20 years at the Danish Film Board, as press officer, festival representative and film consultant/commissioner. Co-founder of Balticum Film and TV Festival, Filmkontakt Nord, Documentary of the EU and EDN (European Documentary Network). From 1996 until 2005 he was the first director of EDN (European Documentary Network). From 2006 a freelance consultant and teacher in workshops.
Adriek van Nieuwenhuyzen has a masters degree in Theatre and Film Science from the University in Utrecht. She got involved in IDFA in the beginning years of the festival and also worked as producer at a Dutch broadcaster
From February 2007 on she is Head of the Industry office of IDFA . In this position she is in charge of the professional program of IDFA including the markets FORUM and Docs for Sale. Besides working at IDFA she serves regularly as a member of the selection committees and advisory boards within the documentary community.
Michalina Czerwońska is an activist and a doctoral candidate at the University of Warsaw, where she completed her bachelor’s and master’s studies in English Philology. Her academic work focuses on ecocriticism and American cinema. She is a coorganizer of the Stany Splątane conference and participates in research projects such as the Ecopoetological Laboratory and the School of Ecopoetics. She is currently working on the grant team for the project EcoFilmLab: Eco Critical Thinking in Cinema. At the same time she is active in the Last Generation movement, also as its spokesperson.
A reporter and author of documentary books. She publishes reportage, essays and columns in Duży Format, Polityka and Pismo. Winner of the Grand Press Award 2012 in the press reportage category, nominated for the international True Story Award 2019. Recipient of the Milena Jesenská Fellowship at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna in 2018 and the international CELA program Connecting Emerging Literary Artists 2019 to 2023. She leads non fiction writing workshops for nongovernmental organizations and cultural institutions. Author of the reportage books Człowiek w przystępnej cenie. Reportaże z Tajlandii and Światy wzniesiemy nowe. Her heart beats in Asia and she has worked in Japan, Thailand and Indonesia. In her writing she explores the condition of humans in the face of the economy of excess, globalization and climate change. She is fascinated by visions of paradise both the lost ones and those people create in the hope of a better world.
A journalist specializing in nature topics, particularly interested in the protection of birds and large predators, as well as relationships between humans and nature and urban wildlife. He is passionate about animal psychology and nature photography. He enjoys observing animals in their natural habitat, as well as long kayaking trips and hiking wanderings. A rugby fan who also trains the sport.

Author of the biography of Krystyna Chojnowska Liskiewicz Samotne oceany and two collections of interviews with Alicja Długołęcka on women’s sexuality and reproductive rights. A graduate of Documentary Campus Masterschool and Atelier Scenariuszowe. She runs the Ferment book club named after Simona Kossak.
A film producer and the founder of the production company Otter Films. Together with director Bartosz Konopka she received an Academy Award nomination for the documentary Rabbit à la Berlin. She has produced numerous documentary films acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, including 6 kroków by Bartosz Dombrowski, Deep Love by Jan P. Matuszyński, The Domino Effect by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski, The Art of Disappearing by Bartosz Konopka and Piotr Rosołowski, Communion by Anna Zamecka and Marek Edelman …and There Was Love in the Ghetto by Jolanta Dylewska. Her credits also include feature films such as Zud by Marta Minorowicz premiered at the Berlinale, Ayka by Sergey Dvortsevoy premiered in the main competition at Cannes where Samal Yeslyamova won the award for Best Actress and Krew Boga by Bartosz Konopka. Films produced by Otter Films often as international coproductions receive numerous awards and are distributed worldwide. Additionally Anna Wydra supports creators as a consultant in both artistic and production matters and is a member of the Polish and European Film Academies. Beyond film she is also involved in advertising projects at Goodfellas.
