Probably the most renowned Scandinavian director working today, the three-time Oscar-nominated creator of “The Square” and “Triangle of Sadness,” began his filmmaking career in documentary. For the first time in Poland, we present two of his deeply personal nonfiction films, where the signatures of his later work are already unmistakable: a sharp eye for relationships and instincts, a sensitivity to raw emotion, and a gift for elevating the seemingly trivial detail into something essential.
