Mo Tomaszewska
Visual artist, performer, and hydrofeminist. A graduate of the Faculty of Industrial Design (MA 2018) and the Faculty of Intermedia (MA 2022) at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She studied painting and art history at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies, University of Leeds, England (2014). A participant of the KEM School (2024). She completed the one-year documentary theater course "Teatr na Faktach" at the Jerzy Grotowski Institute (2023–24), where she produced a performative reading entitled "Fluo ergo sum – I flow, therefore I am." Her work focuses on performance art and artivism, addressing themes of social inequality, human rights, and ecology, particularly in the context of protecting aquatic ecosystems. As Rzeka Biała – a member of the Sisters of the Rivers collective and the Save the Rivers Coalition – she actively works to protect Polish rivers, streams and wetlands, cooperating with environmental organizations and scientific institutions.
