Populist politicians often cast refugees as scapegoats to rally their bases. Yet most refugees are simply fleeing persecution, and international law mandates protection. How does Poland respond to these obligations? Can refugees integrate into Polish society, and what becomes of them once they arrive?

  • Agnieszka Kosowicz - founder and president of the Polish Migration Forum Foundation. Initiator of many projects on integration of foreigners and intercultural dialogue. For more than six years she led the information policy of the Representation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Poland.
