Lecture: Speculators, rebels and life in a false reality

Lecture: Speculators, rebels and life in a false reality

The documentary "A Year in the Life of a Country" portrays Poland under martial law, but it touches on far broader issues. It's worth seeing not only for its fantastic editing and unique way of telling this dramatic period of history. Perhaps the film's greatest strength lies in its universal message. This tragicomic documentary tells the story of a man entangled in history: of human choices, heroism, and—at times—quite banal smallness. It's also a surprisingly timely story about the pitfalls of operating in a false reality and the deceptively seductive power of fake news.
