WATCH DOCS nominations at the 63rd Krakow Film Festival

The program of the 63rd Krakow Film Festival includes a number of documentaries on social issues and human rights. This year we are nominating two very strong titles from the KFF's international documentary competition for the WATCH DOCS award. This means that they will be screened in the winter during this year's 23rd edition of our festival.

  • The first of our nominated titles is Motherland, an impressively cinematically precise dark story about the realities of forced military service in Belarus (top prize at this year's CPH: DOX festival in Copenhagen).
  • Another film from the KFF program that will be featured in the WATCH DOCS lineup in December is The Dmitriev Affair, a harrowing story of the title dissident's uneven struggle against the Putin propaganda machine.

The 63rd Krakow Film Festival will run until June 4, and this year's 23rd WATCH DOCS IFF will take place from December 1-10.
