Documentary 'Forest' - pre-release screenings
Lidia Duda's film is one of the most awarded Polish documentaries of this year. It won awards in Thessaloniki, Warsaw and Prague, among others.
Asia and Marek and their children: Franek, Ignacy and Marysia, enchanted audiences of summer film festivals. Now we invite you to autumn screenings in cinemas all over Poland. The film is available with English subtitles.
Alongside the film's distribution, together with lawyers from the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, organisations and volunteers and Podlasie residents involved in humanitarian aid on the Polish-Belarusian border, we will be looking for an answer to the question - can documentary film change the world?
That is why the cinema distribution is accompanied by a campaign, which will bring the film to the institutions responsible for legislative processes in Poland and, we hope, will lead to a real change in legal practice and an end to people giving aid to those in need being taken to court. We believe that helping people in need should not be punished by the state.
More information on the campaign coming soon!
