Become a volunteer for the 24th WATCH DOCS IFF

Do you want to be part of the festival team and get involved in the production of one of the largest human rights film festivals in the world? 

Here's your chance - the call for volunteers for the 24th edition of the WATCH DOCS IFF is now open.    

The WATCH DOCS Festival. Human Rights in Film has been presenting the most interesting documentaries from around the world for over 20 years. Made by established masters and promising debutants. The festival focuses on human beings and their rights, as well as on the actions of local communities.

FESTIVAL TASKS   
During the festival, volunteers can get involved in many different ways. 
The main tasks are:   

  • SERVICING THE SCREENING ROOMS   

- checking tickets at the entrance to the screening room   
- running the viewers choice contest    
- maintaining order in the screening room, interacting with cinema staff   
- assisting and advising the audience at the festival   

  • SERVICING INFORMATION STANDS   

-issuing tickets for accredited visitors, issuing accreditations to authorised journalists   
- providing festival guests with information on the festival programme and accompanying events, and answering other questions connected with the festival   
- issuing festival promotional materials   
- assisting in setting up information stands   

  • GUEST SERVICE  

- picking up and taking a guest from / to the airport (transport is provided by the organizers)    
- taking care of a designated guest for the duration of the festival   
- providing the guest with all the necessary information concerning the festival as well as the necessary linguistic and logistic support.   

  • PHOTO/ VIDEO GROUP   

- taking photos and videos from the festival events  

Additionally, as part of volunteering we provide:  
- Certificate of volunteering   
- Accident  insurance  
- A written agreement

PHOTO/ VIDEO 

  • We are waiting for completed forms until Thursday 31 October.  
  • We will send out the results of the recruitment by email on Monday 4 November. 

ROOM SERVICE/ INFO POINT/ GUEST SERVICE 

  • We are waiting for completed forms until Monday 11 November.  
  • We will send out the results of the recruitment by email on Tuesday 12 November. 

We are accepting applications from people who are at least 18 years of age and whose availability is a minimum of 10 hours.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT?  

  • availability - a minimum of 10 hours during the festival  
  • a good command of English (especially if you want to take care of guests from abroad)  
  • a sense of responsibility for the tasks entrusted
