Become a volunteer at the 25th WATCH DOCS IFF!

We are now accepting applications for volunteers for the 25th edition of the WATCH DOCS festival, which will take place on December 5-14, 2025, in Warsaw cinemas and online on the MOJEeKINO.pl platform.

You have the chance to become part of the festival family and get involved in creating one of the largest human rights film festivals in the world!      

To become a volunteer, please read the information in the announcement and fill out the form.    

We will be accepting applications until Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.   

We will send out the results of the recruitment process by email on Wednesday, November 5.  

We accept applications from people who are at least 18 years old and are available for a minimum of 10 hours.   
  

YOUR BENEFITS

OUR EXPECTATIONS   

- availability – a minimum of 10 hours during the festival   

- communicative English (especially if you want to look after guests from abroad)   

- a sense of responsibility for the tasks entrusted to you    

 

FESTIVAL TASKS   

Depending on the experience, skills, preferences, and availability of volunteers, their duties will include:  

  

SCREENING ROOMS 

- checking tickets at the entrance to the projection room   

- running the audience competition   

- maintaining order in the screening room, staying in contact with cinema staff, announcing screenings   

- assisting festival viewers, providing advice   

  

INFO POINTS   

- issuing passes to accredited persons and issuing accreditations to authorised journalists   

- providing festival guests with information about the festival program and accompanying events, and answering other questions related to the festival . 

- distributing festival promotional materials   

- assisting in setting up information stands   

  

GUEST SERVICE 

 - picking up and dropping off guests from/to the airport (transport is provided by the organizers)    

- taking care of a designated guest for the duration of the festival  

- providing guests with all necessary information about the festival and providing necessary language and logistical assistance   

  

PHOTO/VIDEO  

Do you take photos, record videos, or want to gain experience in the communications department? You can help us in this way too! If you are interested in this form of volunteering, please indicate what you would like to do in the application form and include a link to your work (e.g., Instagram, portfolio) in the question about experience. 

- photography – taking photos and reporting during the festival 

- video – making videos during the festival. 

- video editing – helping to edit videos and stories from festival materials. 

- graphics – creating graphic materials to support festival communications. 

  

ABOUT WORK PLACEMENT/INTERNSHIPS 

During the WATCH DOCS Festival, there is an opportunity to do a student internship as part of volunteering. Please indicate your interest in doing so in the comment section at the bottom of the application form.    

In addition, as part of the volunteer program, we provide:

– Written agreement
