Abortion Frontlines: What Comes Next? Discussion after the screening of “Plan C”

Abortion Frontlines: What Comes Next? Discussion after the screening of “Plan C”

Who can remedy the situation regarding abortion access in Poland? Politicians, activists - or perhaps doctors? After all, they bear responsibility for their actions - legal, but also moral, social and professional. What does this entail? Does the public debate on reproductive health in Poland have to be based on compromise?

Paulina Reiter - editor and contributor to the Wysokie Obcasy magazine, feminist. She writes about culture, women's rights including reproductive rights and the right to legal abortion, and ecology. Author of two books on sexuality Seks na wysokich obcasach - a conversation with Alicja Długołęcka, and a biography of the first woman to circumnavigate the world alone - Samotne oceany.

Natalia Broniarczyk - co-founder of the abortion support groups Abortion Dream Team and Aborcja bez granic (Abortion Without Borders). Enthusiast of abortion self-help and abortion pills. She is currently writing a book about abortion in Poland and the role of abortion pills in regaining control over one's life.

Antonina Lewandowska - activist, feminist, sex educator in Grupa Ponton, PhD student in sociology at the University of Warsaw. National advocacy coordinator of the FEDERA Foundation and the ASTRA Network (Eastern European international network of NGOs fighting for women's and reproductive rights).

Jerzy Podgórski - lawyer, one of the defenders of Justyna Wydrzyńska, who was found guilty of aiding and abetting abortion.

The debate will be held in Polish only.
