Cultural Marxism | Poster Exhibition by Anna Bąk

Cultural Marxism is an exhibition of posters by Anna Bąk, in which the artist explores a range of social and cultural issues through a concise, synthetic visual language. By employing a minimalist poster format, she aims to distill each topic to its essence.

The title of the exhibition references the term “Cultural Marxism” – a concept popularized by paleoconservative circles in the United States and currently employed by far-right groups, including in Poland, to describe views aligned with those represented by the artist. By choosing this title, Bąk deliberately reclaims and recontextualizes the term as a form of ironic commentary directed at her ideological critics. In doing so, she distances herself from the negative connotations imposed by her opponents and asserts a critical stance toward the labels attributed to her worldview.
