Living library

The Living Library is an initiative that promotes dialogue, understanding and respect for human rights. Its main goal is to counter discrimination and prejudice by providing an opportunity to meet and talk directly with people representing groups at risk of exclusion, stereotyping or misunderstanding. During the event, “readers” have the opportunity to “borrow” Living Books - that is, people who share their personal stories, experiences and perspectives. Each conversation takes place in an atmosphere of mutual respect, openness and confidentiality.
