DISCUSSION: Access to sanitary pads a right not a luxury. On the need to fight menstrual exclusion

The meeting about preventing mensuration exclusion will be attended by Różowa Skrzyneczka activist Martyna Baranowicz. The meeting will be preceded by a screening of the film "Periodical".

More about the film below:
A multidimensional look at menstruation, which, contrary to the stereotypes from the cultural lamppost, need not be an embarrassing problem at all.

When Courteney Cox used the word "period" for the first time in a TV commercial for tampons in 1985, it seemed that the world was on the threshold of a revolution in morals. How is it possible that today, after almost forty years, menstruation is still an embarrassing and controversial topic? Together with the director, we look at patriarchal cultural norms, the instilled sense of shame and how women are systemically left out of important areas of life - from health to education. For although menstruation affects more than half the population, it is still an experience that remains on the fringes of public debate. However, the efforts of women activists and organisations offer hope for a better tomorrow and a rejection of the male-created paradigm.
