Forest
Asia and Marek's children are growing up in the buffer zone of the Białowieża Forest, through which a migration route to Europe has recently emerged. How does this new reality, filled with the challenges of the adult world, look from their perspective?
Asia and Marek live with their three children in the Białowieża Forest, right on the border with Belarus. When they fulfilled their dream of buying a house just after university, they had no idea what fate had in store for them in this little paradise. The cameras they had set up in the forest were originally meant for observing wildlife. But now, the night recordings reveal something else—people appearing in the woods—refugees searching for a safe passage to Europe.
The whole family gets involved in helping them, despite receiving no support from the state. From that moment on, the forest will never be the same for them. How do you return home when people are dying just beyond your doorstep?
