Sunday at the Festival

Sunday at WATCH DOCS is all about Q&A sessions with filmmakers and people in the documentaries.

Viewers will have an opportunity to ask questions of the main character in “A Syrian Love Story,” Amer Daoud, its director, David Sington, the director of “Fear of 13” about a man who was wrongly convicted and spent over 20 years on death row, as well as Zhao Liang, the director of “Behemoth,” about labor in Chinese mines. Filmmakers from our section I Want to See will also answer questions; their films include “Jungle Sisters,” “Citizen Khodorkovsky” and “Leaving Africa.” Sunday will also feature two film screenings from the Great Escape section devoted to migrants and refugees, “The Last Hijack” and “Show All This to the World.” Another exciting part of the program is the debut film from Jim Finn, “Interkosmos,” and after the screening the master of pastiche will answer viewers’ questions.

If you are unable to attend the festival, enjoy select films on the Kinoplex platform.

See you at the movies!
