The second edition of the FUTURE DOCS project is going to start in May 2017–thanks to the financial support from the Nordic Council of Ministers. This time, the focus of FUTURE DOCS will be on Northern Europe, with the aim of developing new partnerships among European documentary filmmakers and human rights defenders from Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden), North-West Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. In comparison with the first FUTURE DOCS, it will feature a greater number of presentations and workshops. The second part of the year is going to be very busy: we plan workshops in Vilnius and Warsaw and a presentation in the capital of Belarus–Minsk. The winner of the FUTURE DOCS Prize for the most promising film project will be announced in February 2018. More details soon!
